New York, NY (January 22, 2018) – Adventurey, LLC announces today the acquisition of the Empire State Marathon from Adventure Fitness Events as the company continues to expand its portfolio of endurance events. Since its inaugural event in 2011, Empire State Marathon has become Syracuse tradition and also features 10K and half marathon distance races.

“The Empire State Marathon offers us the opportunity to apply our mission of superior customer service and an exceptional race experience to a new group of athletes,” said Adrian Bijanada, CEO of Adventurey. “Our whole team is thrilled to build upon this already great event while bringing our ‘athletes first’ approach to race weekend.”

The flat, fast, and scenic courses offer unique opportunities for competitive athletes looking for a personal best across any of the three distances, while the marathon course is a certified Boston and New York City Marathon qualifier.

“As we celebrate ESM’s 8th year in the Syracuse community, it’s amazing to look back see how much the event has grown and has been embraced by the local running community, while also recognizing how much this event means to so many people,” said ESM Race Director Brett Stewart. “Having been a part of other Adventurey events, I knew they’d be a perfect fit to continue to grow this Syracuse tradition for years to come and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

The race is set to take place Sunday, October 14, 2018 starting and finishing in NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse, New York. Registration is limited to 2,000 participants to find out more about registration visit the race website:
